Your brand’s superpower is
Connection
You are a master of creating that ‘I got you’ feeling as soon as someone lands on your social media page or website. With a naturally empathetic tone, you know how to be a much-needed break from the stuffy, ‘all we want is your money’ business world. If creating community was an Olympic sport, you’d easily take home gold– then probably break the medal in 34 pieces for each woman in your network to have something for her desk. No wonder everyone says they’re your friend when all they did was like 1 Instagram post. Creepy. But not. You just have that ‘I know her’ thing going for you.
This superpower means
It’s easy for you to immediately get people to want to get to know you better when they land on your brand. You’re naturally warm and inviting– making your brand feel very human as opposed to corporate.
You tend to gravitate towards marketing methods that preserve that humanness, and watching the world fall to bots and ChatGPT makes you wanna cry real tears sometimes
You naturally write in a way that’s conversational, raw, and real– making it easy for you to put out posts that resonate with your community and invite lots of shares, heartfelt comments, and kind DMs
Connection
People probably tell you
I want to be your friend.
I love your content.
You really see me.
I could hang out on your website forever.
When I met you, it was an instant follow.
Biggest weakness
By being so good at connection, it’s easy for you to slip into the bestie zone. That means people see you as a brand they love, but they don’t buy from you or hire you. They love your content because it makes them feel seen, but you’re not making them feel inspired enough to move. They’re not confident that your brand is the one that can solve their problems and facilitate the solution/transformation they’re craving– but they love the relatable one liners you always seem to drop. They think you’re fun, but one piece is missing to actually throw those (fun)ds at you.
Room for expansion
If you can maintain this connection, which you totally can because you’re you and add in the activation piece– people will want to be your friend and your client.
What you need to do is:
Turn relatable ‘pain point’ content and ‘let’s dream together’ inspirational content into moments where you can position yourself as the person to take them from problem → new way of being
Sell more. Straight up, you’re not pitching your offers enough because you’re scared of being annoying or overselling to your community.
Add more clarity into your already fun brand voice. People like the vibe you’ve created, but so much of activation and moving people to buy comes from being so hyper-specific on how you’re going to change things for them. And to do that, you need to know this to a tee and articulate it in a specific, focused way.
Next Step
To go from bestie zone to hired zone is usually a matter of tweaks in how you’re approaching your messaging, copy, and sales.
You’re also in luck that you got this one, because this is def my specialty– helping fun women become fun, rich women. If we hopped on Zoom for an hour for a Messaging Intensive, I could figure out why you’re not activating people to buy and we could remedy that by rewriting your one liner, strategizing the angles in your content, coming up with stronger headlines, and articulating your differentiators in a way that makes people close ALL tabs except yours.
